Dear Lollipop Theater

Dear Lollipop Theater,

Every night before I go to bed I think, "Christopher L. Jorgensen, you are not a very good person," so I am including $5 with this letter, but only because I can't afford more (and honestly, I am not a very bad person either).

It would be cool if you could use the money to get Stephen Baldwin to show up for the kids, since I hear he needs the cash, but I don't know if he's done any kids' movies. He was decent in "The Usual Suspects," but I would suggest not showing that to kids under 11!

Anyway, thanks for doing good. I hope you use the donation wisely. Regardless, it'll help me sleep better at night knowing I am a slightly better person today than I was yesterday!

Sincerely,

Christopher L. Jorgensen

Dear Christopher,

We are so grateful for your donation of $5.00 received in May, 2010.  Your contribution makes it possible for LOLLIPOP to continue its mission of bringing movie magic to thousands of children fighting life-threatening illnesses nationwide.

Last year, supporters like you enabled LOLLIPOP to conduct more than 200 hospital visits, allowing pediatric patients access to movies such as Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Where the Wild Things Are, just like their friends!  These special events brought smiles to the faces of these very deserving children as well as their families.  It is moments like these, which are truly priceless.  Thank you!

Your generosity is greatly appreciated and will go directly towards screenings for pediatric patients nationwide.  As the cost of LOLLIPOP’s mission does not go away, we hope for your continued support in the future.

For further information on how your donation will be put to good use, please visit our website at www.lollipoptheater.org

Warm regards,

My reaction:

This letter was dated June 10, 2010, but I swear it arrived last week!

You know how when you have to explain jokes…they aren’t funny anymore? Well, this letter is like that, so take it as it is or don’t. Lollipop Theater is a cool organization that brings smiles to sick kids. I’d say that even if they hadn’t scored Michael Chiklis for a visit. If I actually had money I’d give them more than $5. If you have money you should send them some.

I will explain the whole Stephen Baldwin thing, but mostly because it’s not funny to begin with. Long story short: whiny Hollywood actor hits hard times for a Hollywood actor and nutcases try to redeem him financially in the eyes of God’s followers. Remember kids, God gave you everything you have. If God wanted you to be rich you would be.

Vanity Fair on Stephen Baldwin.

Dear Mr. Chiklis, next time you see Stephen will you punch him in the kisser for me? I’ll send another $5 along to Lollipop Theater if you do. $10 if it’s hard.
