Dear Envirokidz,
My friend Anthony Imperioli is quite upset by your new box design for your Envirokidz Organic Gorilla Munch cereal. He’s an emotional lad though and Italian, so that guy will get bent out of shape over just about anything. He was wailing and gnashing his teeth and crying out, “I’m so angry, my Jimmies are rustled! Rustled!” He was what we Americans refer to as inconsolable.
I figure no one has pointed out your new box design is inferior to your old box design, nor has anyone written to politely ask you to go back to the old one, so I am writing to do just that! There’s a certain charm that’s missing with this new box. (It’s also kind of scary and who wants to be afraid of their breakfast cereal?) The public (and Anthony) have spoken. They want their old box back. Won’t you please do your best to unrustle Anthony’s Jimmies?
If not I will tell Anthony to man up, grow a pair, dry his eyes, and quit his caterwauling. After all, it’s only a box of cereal!
Sincerely,
Christopher L. Jorgensen

Dear Christopher,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on our new look. The changes were inspired by consumer feedback so we continue to value your input!
You may have noticed that Nature’s Path products have had a makeover, but we can assure you that there’s been no takeover. We’re still the same family-run company we’ve always been and the products themselves haven’t changed a bit either (even though some of the boxes are a little bit slimmer to reduce waste, there’s still the same amount of tasty product inside).
The new look was designed to help you find your way in the cereal aisle and to better communicate the nutritional benefits and yummy ingredients inside the box. Because we are a sustainably focused company, we did not want to waste any existing packaging in this transition. As a result, no old packaging is being pulled off the shelves. Once the current stock is depleted, it will be replaced with the same product; only in a newly designed box. This means that for the next little while, you may see both old and new packaging simultaneously.
Our gorilla had a makeover. If you miss the original gorilla, you can always find him here: http://bit.ly/RCanXw.”
We apologize for any confusion this may cause and thank you in advance for your patience as we move towards a full line of products that finally looks like the family they are.
Please visit www.naturespath.com for more information on our company and our products.
Thank you for being a valued Nature’s Path customer.
Kind regards,
Laara

Sometimes I think I am too old to get these meme things kids talk about these days. There’s a tumblr of rustled jimmies (whatevr a tumblr is?) and there’s this site called “Know Your Meme” that old people can go to and have the internet explained to them: That Really Rustled My Jimmies. I’m lucky enough to have a Canadian to interpret these things for me.
This is another in the long line of Anthony Imperioli letters. Someday there will be a book of them if I ever get around to it. You should check Anthony out. He’s the worst underwear model in existence, and this really rustles my jimmies!
