Dear FBI,
Is it true you keep a file on every US citizen? Can I request mine and my girlfriend's? I'd just like to see what you have to say about us. I'd tell you her name, but I'm sure you already know that, since we've been dating for some time now.
Also, anyway I can get a list of all the lists I am on?
Thanks,
Christopher L. Jorgensen

I edited this letter slightly from what was actually sent, removing any overly personal identifying information included. You don’t need to know that stuff. This is the first letter I have done that too without indicating what was removed. It’s none of your business.
I got back a form telling me that I didn’t provided enough information to have my request processed. Ouch! I wanted to fill out the known alias section and come up with tons of fake aliases. Like Christopher “Well Hung” Jorgensen, but then there’s the whole statement about perjury, and I wouldn’t want to go to jail because I’m not known to be well hung.
I like how this form came with a line highlighted for me. This line also says I can’t submit it, since it says my signature has to be legible. I’ve never had one of those. Even I can’t read my own handwriting.
