Dear TK Maxx,
the other day famous British actor Finlay Robertson was going on about your stores and how they are evil. He said he’d never learn though, so I don’t think I would worry about it too much. Do you have any idea what you would have done to draw his ire? Mostly I am just curious. If you don’t know I guess I could try to ask him, but I don’t have his address. Do you?
I would also like to know why your stores are called T.J. Maxx in my country (USA!) and TK Maxx in the UK. Do you have any other known aliases?
Sincerely,
Christopher L. Jorgensen

Dear Mr Jorgensen
Thank you for your recent letter dated the 21st April 2011.
Unfortunately we do not have any contact details for Finlay Robertson so we are unable to help you with your first question.
The reason our business is called TK Maxx and not TJ Maxx, like our sister company in the States was actually just that someone else was using the name TJ. We are however, called TK Maxx in all four countries that we have stores in across Europe and of course, we are based on the same founding principles, to give all our customers big labels at small prices.
Yours sincerely

The idea for this letter (and this one) came from this rant by Finlay Robertson. You should follow Finlay on twitter.
These people should get on the same page when telling the public why they have different names! TK Maxx meet TJ Maxx.
