​Jackass Letters was launched in 2008 to great fanfare. Little has changed in that time. The site is hosted on pair.com with the domain being registered with pairdomains.com. The open source CMS ExpressionEngine is used for the backend. The majority of image manipulation is done using Acorn on a MacBook Air. The front-end framework Foundation 6 has replaced the hand-rolled CSS to more easily enable a responsive design.
