An Unanswered Letter to Barbara Mallon (Bureaucrat)

Dear Barbara Mallon,

Recently I came across this memo about people leaving liquid and solid human waste alongside Iowa’s roadways:

http://www.iowadot.gov/morgue/news1997/10309701.htm

I was wondering if this is still a problem in Iowa or if your memo solved this issue.

“Recently, highway maintenance workers have noticed an increased number of glass and plastic beverage containers, plastic bags, jugs and other items containing human waste in ditches, medians, entrance and exit ramps, shoulders, fence lines, parking lots, picnic grounds, undeveloped rest areas and scenic overlooks.”

This is quite disgusting if you ask me (you didn’t). If this is still going on maybe it’s time for a new memo!

Sincerely,

Christopher L. Jorgensen
