Dear Mr. Fletcher,
A friend told me about the movement to restore Stephen Baldwin, and I have to say I am a bit confused. Apparently Mr. Baldwin has had it hard and is in need of a handout? That’s the crux of it, right?
I’m not sure I get this. Mr. Baldwin has many gifts most people lack. He’s good looking, he can act, and he’s got God on his side, which is more than most people can claim! So I’m not quite sure why he is reaching out to the less fortunate.
I’d like to help, I really would, but I’m guessing Mr. Baldwin drives a nicer car than I do, has a bigger house than I do, and gets invited to cooler parties and film premiers than I do.
I’m told that your website (restorestephenbaldwin.org) compares Mr. Baldwin’s plight to that of Job in the bible. This is just horrible and unfortunate! Job lost his health, everything he owned and his entire family! From what I can tell Mr. Baldwin has suffered only material setback (unless you want to blame that whole Alec fiasco on Stephen). So again, I am at a loss. Why is Stephen looking for reward in this lifetime? Does not his true reward come in the next?
It should be easy to understand my confusion. I am pretty sure I’ve had it harder than Mr. Stephen Baldwin and no one if out there trying to raise money for me!
Sincerely,
Christopher L. Jorgensen
