Dear Mr. Liddy,
I know times are tough and at times like this is is probably hard to see the silver lining (I know I can’t!). I read recently you are reducing your salary to $1 a year. Man, that’s rough. I feel for you. I have a hard time making it on a lot more than that! This just seems wrong. If you’re top dog you should be making more than a buck a year. Who made this stupid decision? You should fire that guy.
Recently, our wise government has seen fit to give you guys a small loan. The Associated Press called this “a $150 billion gamble.” That’s just asinine. I know you’re good for it. In fact I’d lend you some of my money if I had any to lend.
This has all got me thinking. There’s no way you’d stay in a job making only $1 a year, when even Wal-Mart pays their greaters better than this! So you must have a pretty penny tucked away. A rainy day fund if you will. Well, it’s raining in my neck of the woods, so was hoping you could give me a personal bailout of around $120,000. This would be grand of you.
I am thinking a grant, not a loan, since I’m no more likely to pay the money back than your company is.
What do you say? You can just send the check to the above address.
Thanks bunches,
Christopher L. Jorgensen
