Dear Pop Rocks,
I’m not dumb enough to think that the Mikey kid from the Life cereal commercials died eating Pop Rocks and Coke. Even if I were this dumb a simple check of snopes.com puts the lie to that rumor! So I don’t get why this urban legend persists. All I can come up with is the world is full of stupid people!
I was actually disappointed when I tried Pop Rocks and Coke. No one’s going to die from this. I mean it’s not like Pop Rocks and Coke are Mentos and Coke (I could see that being a killer combination!). I’m pretty sure at this point there simply isn’t a way to kill a person with Pop Rocks, but I thought I’d check with the experts, especially after I read this tantalizing little bit on your website:
If you interested in the knowing more about an advanced science experiment involving the Titrimetric Determination of Carbon Dioxide in a Heterogeneous Sample, please call us at 732-801-9083
That sounds dangerous! Will it kill someone?
Sincerely,
Christopher L. Jorgensen
