Dear Franchise Tax Board,

thanks for putting delinquent taxpayer info online. It is incredibly entertaining reading. I mean, how can Halsey M. and Shannon Minor possibly owe you $13,120,479.39? Seems like there has to be a typo or two in there. That’s more money than I’ll probably ever make in this lifetime. DO you know what they do for a living? I might want to get into that (I promise to pay my taxes if I do!).

You should consider putting the street addresses of these people online as well, and maybe even a photo gallery! I think writing these deadbeats some letters and asking them to pay up isn’t too unreasonable. Like that Michael A. Vrab guy…he owes a pretty good chunk. I’d be happy to drop him a line and suggest he should write you a check.

If I did do this, and managed to recover some funds (shaming can be an powerful incentive) what would my cut be? I’m not greedy!
