Dear Frederick R. Nance,
As you may or may not know there’s some correspondence between the the law offices of Roetzel & Andress and the General Counsel to the Cleveland Browns being circulated on the internet. These letters are dated 1974 and it appears you weren’t the General Counsel back then, but rather some guy named James N. Bailey. In short some asshat lawyer, by the name of Dale O. Cox, was complaining about paper airplanes of all things, and the reply back from Cleveland Browns General Counsel James N. Bailey stated, “you should be aware that some asshole is signing your name to stupid letters.”
This is causing speculation that the whole thing is a farce, a hoax, a fake! A lot of people on the internet are arguing about this needlessly. These people probably have better things to do with their time, so I figure I’d try to clear this whole thing up, so they can go back about their lives. I figure you’re just the man to do this!
So did your predecessor indeed tell this guy to go get bent? I would have if I were him, but then I’m no General Counsel. By the way, what is a General Counsel?
Sincerely,
Christopher L. Jorgensen
p.s. I’m glad some asshole isn’t signing my name to stupid letters!
