An Unanswered Letter to Converse Inc.

Dear Converse,

I’ve always loved the simplicity of a pair of Converse Chuck Taylors. I like the clean lines and the unassuming black and white. Unfortunately I was never able to wear these shoes. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and need more arch support than these shoes offer. (I also don’t want to look like a hipster.)

I was wondering who the original Chuck Taylor was. I highly doubt you named your shoes after a Liberian dictator, but stranger things have happened!

Maybe someday science will cure plantar fasciitis and Chuck Taylors will fall out of favor with the hipsters. When this happens I will for sure buy a pair. Heck, if they stay cheap I might even buy two!

Sincerely,

Christopher L. Jorgensen
