An Unanswered Letter to Casey’s General Stores

Dear Casey’s,

As you can tell from my address, I live in Small Town, Iowa. I am grateful for your stores. They are a consistent experience. Regardless of where in Iowa I am traveling when I spot your red ceilings I know what I am going to get when I walk through the door.

I do have one comment/question though: Why don’t you carry any good beers in your stores? I mean, I like Budweiser, Miller Genuine Draft, and Ice House as much as the next guy, but a nice premium beer on occasion would be welcome.

If one thing makes me feel like I am living in a provincial hick town in middle-of-nowhere-Iowa it is the beer choices at my local Casey’s! I often will travel out of my way to go to one of your competitors just because the beer there is better (and some carry Playboy and Penthouse too!).
