Dear Terminix,
I am so confused. A friend of mine told me termites spread salmonella. “Maybe” I said, “If you left RAW chicken out on the counter, and the termites crawled ALL over the chicken, and you ate it RAW,” but he insists chicken has nothing to do with it, that any meat (even dog meat), would work. I tried to compromise and say that maybe a cockroach—if cooked improperly—could, perhaps, spread disease if you allowed it to foul nearly spoiled chicken or puppy, but otherwise I was going to go ahead an eat any-damn-thing-I-felt-like regardless of what crawled on it!
So seriously, do I have anything to worry about? We have a $5 bet riding on this one.
Sincerely,
Christopher L. Jorgensen
