Dear Charlie,
I am writing because I need to know at what age you knew things were not right in your head. This is important.
I try to think back to a time before I knew I wasn’t like other people and I can come up with no such thoughts or time. I think I’ve always been this way. It makes sense to me that other people, that aren’t quite right in the head, would also be this way, but I am leaving open the idea that someone could develop this way. Personally, I don’t see it. Either a person is normal or he isn’t, right? Falling in and out of normalcy isn’t normal, so we’re left with the idea that we’re broken in the brain all along or that there is a slow decent. The second reads as a literary fiction!
Additional data points on my hypothesis that nutters start out that way would be wonderful, but I believe in the scientific method, so if I am wrong, and you started out normal, please let me know that as well!
And, hey, when you write back I would love a doodle. Maybe something with boobs? That would be cool!
Sincerely,
Christopher L. Jorgensen
