Dear NAACP,
Isn’t your organization inherently racist? From your website:
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) (is) a civil rights organization for ethnic minorities in the United States.
First off, I didn’t think African American people, or black people, liked to be called “Colored” anymore. I was told many consider this racist in of itself! But my real complaint rests in your mission. If you were for equal rights for all, and trying to advance people regardless of race/color, creed, or sexual preference, then I would see your cause as just and admirable. I could then really get behind your organization, but as it is, you choose to support “ethnic minorities” only.
I looked up the NAAWP on the internet and found there was indeed such an organization, founded by none other than former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. The idea of a “National Association for the Advancement of White People” offends all right thinking people. Yet, I don’t understand why the NAACP gets a pass on this one.
If you could please educate me on this issue I would be grateful.
Thanks,
Christopher L. Jorgensen
