Dear Iowa Egg Council,
How do I know the eggs are safe now?
I mean, I would have thought they were safe before, but I would have been wrong. So what has changed to allow me to have confidence in what I am eating?
I also heard that the recalled eggs will be going back into the food supply as liquid eggs. That’s plain gross! Why not just take these as a loss?
Egg prices are climbing, which is dumb to me. No one I know is currently eating eggs, so the demand should be down, so the prices should be dropping, no? I’m no economist though, so I probably don’t understand why egg prices are going up.
Just let me know when I can start trusting eggs again. I miss my egg salad sandwiches!
Sincerely,
Christopher L. Jorgensen
