Dear Thermos(R),
recently my girlfriend bought a Thermos(R) and we were questioning what you would call a non-Thermos(R) Thermos(R)? I mean other companies make these but everyone still calls them a Thermos(R). I know this is an important destination to make, since if you don’t protect your trademarks you risk becoming a generic like Kleenex, but still, you have to admit “insulated vacuum food container” doesn’t roll off the tongue like Thermos(R)!
So what should we be calling non-Thermos(R) Thermos(R)es?
By the way, she loves her Thermos(R) and we’re quite glad we didn’t just buy a knockoff insulated vacuum food container. It just wouldn’t be the same!
