Dear Iowa Pork Producers Association,
Happy Cinco De Mayo!
I have a question for you. I often hear of pork being referred to as “the other white meat.” Is it really white meat, or is this just clever marketing?
I really would like to know, since I gave up red meat some many years ago, but if pork really is white meat, I could again enjoy me some tasty swine!
Please clear this up for me.
Also, what are my chances of getting trichinosis? I looked this up on the internet and was pretty grossed out by the pictures. It also sounds quite painful.
Thanks,
Christopher L. Jorgensen
