Dear T. Marzetti,
My girlfriend and I love your apple crisp. It’s great and couldn’t be easier to make. Unfortunately, the girlfriend doesn’t like peaches or pears or anything else that starts with a P! So we make a lot of apple crisp. I’m not complaining though. This is good stuff!
I do have one comment and one point of confusion. We had to hunt around to find the apple crisp as the store we usually purchased it at called it a “seasonal item.” That’s just plain idiotic. Who ever heard of apple crisp season? We did eventually find it someplace else, but it was quite a bit more expensive. Don’t worry, we still stocked up and can weather the pending economic collapse as long as we can find apples.
My question is, “What the heck is Maltodextrin?” Your ingredients list, “brown sugar, sugar, wheat flour, rolled oats, spice, salt, maltodextrin, and caramel color.” I figure in the unlikely event our supply runs out before the next apple crisp season I may have to resort to making my own but would first need to insure a supply of maltodextrin.
Sincerely,
Christopher L. Jorgensen
p.s. what’s the T in T. Marzetti stand for? The L in Christopher L. Jorgensen stands for Lynn if you were curious.
